Proedge spare coarse abrasive belts of 120 grit for the red modeling sanding stick — a package of five pieces for the fast removal of material.
Responsibility details are not available.
Five spare abrasive belts of 120 grit intended for the red Proedge modeling sanding stick. 120 grit is among the coarse ones — it is a belt for the fast removal of material, not for final smoothing. It is used where a large irregularity has to be taken down in a few strokes: surplus putty, the remains of a casting block, a heavy sprue gate, the edge of a badly fitting part or the overlap of two halves of a fuselage.
A belt of 120 grit leaves pronounced grooves that have to be sanded out gradually with finer grits — start with the coarse belt, then move on to the medium one and finally to the fine one. Sand in short strokes in one direction and check the shape continuously by looking across the reflection of the light; hold the sanding stick flat, otherwise you will round off an edge you want to keep. With fine details, engraved lines and rivets avoid the coarse belt completely. Wet, the belt sands more finely and does not raise dust, only let it dry out properly after the work.
Fine dust arises during sanding — work in a ventilated space, use a respirator with resin and wash your hands after the work.
