This resin set contains the barrels of the onboard guns and the pitot tube for the Kawasaki Ki 61-I Hien. It is not an airplane model but a detail accessory. The castings have sharp muzzles and fine shapes, so they will replace the simplified or fragile plastic parts from the kit with a more accurate and more robust rendering.
The Kawasaki Ki 61 Hien was a Japanese fighter from the second half of the war, unusual for its liquid-cooled inverted V12 engine, which gave it a slender nose. The gun barrels and the pitot tube on the wing leading edge are among the fine details that exact castings bring out.
Wash the parts to remove mold release, cut off the casting blocks and clean them up. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The barrels come into their own in a dark metallic shade; paint the pitot tube to match the surrounding wing surface.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
