A masking sheet 290 x 145 mm with a grid of one millimeter. It is used for cutting your own masks to fit a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
Ready-made masking sets cover only the canopies and wheels of the most common kits. As soon as you need to mask a shape of your own, that is an irregular camouflage patch, a band on the fuselage, a number or a crisp boundary between two shades, the time comes for a sheet you cut the mask from yourself. This one has a grid of one millimeter, so a straight band or a symmetrical shape can be measured out directly on the material without transferring anything from a ruler.
The sheet measures 290 x 145 mm, which is enough for masking one larger model or a whole set of small shapes. The material is flexible and adheres even to a curved surface, so it suits the fuselage, engine covers and the rounded parts of a car body. The masks are laid on a finished, dry and preferably smooth surface, and only then is the next shade sprayed.
Cut the shape with a sharp blade on a cutting mat, not directly on the model, where the blade would damage the surface. Press the mask down all around its edge, particularly carefully on the edges, because that is where paint creeps under. Spray in thin coats and work from the edge of the mask inward. Remove the mask as soon as the paint is dry to the touch and pull it at a shallow angle to the surface, not straight up. Keep the rest of the sheet flat and away from dust.
The masking sheet is supplied on its own. Paints, a blade and a model are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
