Screwdrivers for modeling work, that is for the small screws on models, jigs and tools. The fine tips seat in a shallow slot across their whole face.
Responsibility details are not available.
A screwdriver is needed on the modeling bench more often than one expects. Screws hold together the metal frames and chassis, the gearboxes and axles of powered models, the covers of the battery compartments on controllers and on the lighting of dioramas, the clamps of jigs and the stands and bases. The same hand then also deals with small repairs of the tools you build with, from scalpel handles to lamps and grinders.
An ordinary workshop screwdriver is coarse for such work. A small tip seats in a shallow slot across its whole face, so it does not twist out and does not tear the slot. A thinner handle in turn allows the tool to be guided with the fingertips and the force to be metered out in small doses, which on soft screws driven into plastic matters more than strength in the wrist.
Always pick the largest tip that still drops right into the slot, and press in line with the screw, not at an angle. Do not tighten a screw in plastic all the way by force, as a thread in soft material strips quickly and is hard to repair. Keep the tips dry and clean and do not use them as a pry bar, a chisel or a scraper; a bent or battered tip no longer catches the slot properly. Wipe the tips after work and store them so that they do not rub against one another. The number of pieces and the sizes of the tips are stated by the packaging, so compare them before buying with the screws you actually have on your models.
The package holds the screwdrivers. Other tools and consumables are not part of the package, unless stated otherwise.
