A Hataka modeling paint from the Orange Line range, the light yellowish Stone Yellow shade carried under the number FS 33448.
Responsibility details are not available.
A modeling paint from Hataka of the Orange Line range. The shade is called Stone Yellow and the manufacturer quotes the number FS 33448 for it. FS is the American federal color standard in which every tone has its number. Paint makers refer to it so that it is clear which reference the shade comes close to and so that it can be compared across brands. The name alone guarantees nothing: there is a whole series of yellowish and sand tones and every brand names them in its own way.
Stir the bottle thoroughly before use, as the pigment settles at the bottom. Choose the thinner and the ratio as the manufacturer states on the packaging, that is, always the thinner intended for this range. Mixing different ranges together does not pay off, the binder may curdle and the finish then goes grainy. Apply several thin coats instead of one heavy one and let each flash off. Wash the base beforehand, degrease it and unify it with a primer.
Light yellowish tones cover worse than dark ones and a lot depends on what lies underneath: the shade comes out differently over dark plastic than over light. So spray a test sample on a spare piece of plastic, let it dry and decide by that rather than by a screen. A light area will also show every unevenness without mercy, so finish the filling and sanding before you spray.
The paint is supplied on its own. The thinner, a primer and varnish are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
