SW Legion Silhouette - Fluor Green is a gaming aid from Green Stuff World in a bright green. It serves to mark out the silhouette of a unit, that is to decide visibility and cover on the gaming table.
Responsibility details are not available.
A gaming aid from the Spanish brand Green Stuff World, which belongs to the accessories for tabletop battles with figures. The silhouette is a term used by a number of rule systems: instead of working out visibility from the real shape of a figure, where every outstretched sword and every plume on a helmet gets in the way, a simple outline representing the volume of the unit is used. This aid makes such an outline present beside the model, and an argument about what is visible and what is not is thereby cut down to a few seconds.
Fluorescent colors are common on gaming aids for a practical reason: on a board full of brown and gray terrain an aid has to be distinguishable from the models and the scenery at first glance. Green is universal in this respect, because it does not coincide with the colors of most bases and at the same time it does not clash with the red and orange markers an opponent often puts on the table.
For players of tabletop battles with figures, for judges and for tournament organizers. Exactly how visibility is determined is always set by the rules of the particular game you are playing, and the aid itself replaces no rules.
The exact dimensions, the material and the number of pieces in the package are stated on the packaging. This is not a set of game rules and not an official accessory to any rule system, but an aid from a maker of modeling accessories.
