Tamiya Diorama Texture Paint - Grit Effect "Light Sand"

Tamiya Diorama Texture Paint, Grit Effect Light Sand

Tamiya Diorama Texture Paint, Grit Effect Light Sand is a water-thinnable acrylic texture paste from Tamiya in a light sandy shade. Unlike the finer earth pastes it has a coarser granular structure (grit) that once dry resembles sand and fine gravel. The 100 ml package covers roughly an area of 25x35 cm in one layer.

Use

• Apply it with a spatula or an old brush, as a new brush would be ruined by the coarse particles
• A thicker layer can be shaped and modeled like a filler before it dries
• If the paste is too thick, thin it with water
• It dries in roughly 4 to 5 hours; it can be mixed with Tamiya acrylic paints for a different shade
• Once dry, the surface can be toned with washes and dry-brushing, including enamel paints
• Do not use it in an airbrush, as the coarse particles would damage it

Who it is for

For diorama builders and for military or railway modelers who need a light sandy or gravelly surface on bases and groundwork. The granular Grit Effect is coarser than the earth shades Brown and Dark Earth.

Water-thinnable, with no marked odor; while still wet it washes off with water. Store out of the reach of children.
