Transparent Hollow Plastic Bases - ROUND 28,5mm

Transparent round bases 28.5 mm with a hollow underside

Plastic Green Stuff World bases of round shape, 28.5 mm in diameter, in a transparent finish. This is not a model or a part of one but a base for a figure. A transparent base is optically lost on a game board and in a display case alike, which comes in handy with flying and hovering miniatures, with transparent effects and everywhere the surface under the figure is meant to be visible.

The hollow underside widens the possibilities

The recess underneath leaves room for a magnet with which you hold the figure to a steel transport box, for a weight with taller and unsteady castings, or for the routing of a wire if you are adding lighting to the model. The cavity also lowers the weight of a whole collection.

Use

• Clear plastics are harder to glue, so degrease and lightly roughen the area under the figure.
• Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Take care, because its fumes can dull a transparent surface, so work with a small amount and with ventilation.
• If you want to keep the transparency, do not spray the base with primer and paint only the figure.
• Glue the magnet or the weight into the cavity from below so that they do not stand out past the plane of the base.
• Handle the base by its edge, because fingerprints show clearly on transparent plastic.

Who the bases are for

For wargamers with flying and hovering miniatures, for collectors who want to present a figure without a visible base, and for modelers building effects with clear parts.

Figures, glue, magnets and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise. Check the number of pieces in the package on the packaging before buying.
