The set of hand-painted figures Woodland Scenics Travelers in HO 1:87 scale fills a station and its platforms with figures of travelers with luggage.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of finished, hand-painted figures of travelers for a model railroad layout in HO scale. The figures are not a kit; they come painted and ready to be set in place. The motif of travelers with luggage is probably the most useful of all on a layout, because a platform, a station concourse and the area in front of the station building look deserted without people. The figures also state the scale of the whole scene clearly, which plays a large role when photographing a layout.
Place the figures on the station platform, at the ticket office, in the waiting room or in the parking lot in front of the station. Irregularity helps the credibility, that is not standing the figures in a row but making little groups with gaps and leaving several figures with their backs turned. Travelers also suit a bus stop or a city street, where they work just as well as they do by the track.
A figure holds best on a leveled surface and it is glued down with a drop of PVA glue or cyanoacrylate glue. If the shade of the clothing clashes with your scenery, a small touch-up with a brush is enough and a full repaint is not necessary. After placement a light matte varnish is worth adding, because it protects the paint against rubbing and reduces the gloss. Dust from a layout is best removed from the figures with a soft brush used dry.
The figures are supplied finished and hand-painted. This is not a kit, and a layout, scenery and glue are not included in the package.
