A decal sheet in 1:48 scale with triple rows of rivets in raised form. It is applied as a wet decal.
Responsibility details are not available.
Riveting is visible on a real aircraft, but it is hard to create on a model: scribing damages the surrounding surface and a riveting wheel calls for a steady hand and practice. This sheet offers another way. The rivets on it are ready in raised form and transfer onto the model as a decal, so you get raised rivets evenly spaced in a row without touching the surface with a tool.
Rows of rivets arranged three side by side, in 1:48 scale. They suit anywhere several parallel rows run next to each other, that is on the joints of skin panels, on cover strips and on reinforced parts of the structure. The number of rows on the sheet and their length are stated by the manufacturer, so work out from the instructions how much of the model you will cover.
It is worked as a wet decal. Cut out a section of the length you need, dip it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and let it stand until the film starts to slide on the backing. The base has to be smooth, painted and preferably glossy. Move the film into place, align it against a straight edge or against tape laid down as a guide and blot the excess water off with a cloth. On a curved surface use a softener so that the sheet clings to the shape. Once it is completely dry, go over the area with a clear coat, which hides the edge of the film and protects the rivets during further work.
The model, paints, clear coat and softener are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
