Hasegawa Trytool Template Set 1

A set of etched steel templates from the Trytool modeling line of the Japanese brand Hasegawa. The thin metal sheets with cut-out edges, straight guides and ready-made shapes serve as a template for scribing: you lay them on the surface of the model and run the scriber or the point along their edge. Thanks to them you get straight, repeatable lines, panels and shapes that cannot be cut accurately freehand.

Use

• Lay the template on the surface of the model and hold it down (ideally tape it with masking tape so that it cannot shift).
• Run the scribing point or the tool along the edge repeatedly and lightly; several light passes are better than one heavy one.
• Clean the burr out of the scribed groove with fine abrasive or by polishing it over.
• Suitable for restoring panel lines that have been sanded away as well as for creating new shapes and hatches.

The metal edges are sharp, so work carefully. A scriber and a knife are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
