Turquoise Playmarker marker pen

A marker pen from the Playmarker range in a turquoise shade, that is a blue-green tone between blue and green. The tip lays the paint down directly, so the brush, the palette and the mixing all fall away, and all the work needs is the model, a surface and a moment of time. On small features that shows, because preparing the paint takes longer than the painting itself.

Where turquoise fits

Turquoise appears on a model in small doses but as a strong feature. It suits the ornamental stones and jewelry of figures, glass and enamel details, colored parts of clothing and features that should look cool and luminous. It is also rewarding where a copper or bronze surface is to take on the greenish cast of age, and on fantasy models for glowing runes and magical features.

Working with the marker pen

• Try the shade first on a scrap of plastic or on a hidden spot of the model.
• The surface should be clean, dry and degreased, otherwise the stroke breaks up.
• Lay down thin layers and let them dry; a second pass deepens the shade.
• On luminous features keep the center richer and take the color back toward the edges.
• Wipe the tip after work and close the marker pen carefully so that it does not dry out.
• For thinning, cleaning and any clear coating, follow the instructions from the manufacturer on the packaging.

What is supplied is the marker pen in the stated shade. The model, figures, other shades and clear coats are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise. Work in a well ventilated room and keep the marker pen out of the reach of children.
