The shade matches the early, greener form of the British PC10 protective finish of the First World War. It is a water-thinnable modeling acrylic paint from the Air Series aviation line, in a bottle with a volume of 17 ml. The paint is ready for the airbrush as well as for brushing, it has a satin surface and a durable film, and it dries through in roughly 24 hours.
PC10 was a British protective finish applied to the fabric covering of aircraft to protect the cloth and the dope from ultraviolet light and damp. Its shade differed in practice according to the maker, the batch and the age of the finish, so period machines look greener in one case and brown in another. The PC10 Early variant captures the greener form of the finish from the earlier period. In a build it suits combining with the fabric and wood shades from the same line and with a slight modulation of the area, because paint applied in one flat coat looks flat in a small scale.
The paint is intended for modelers of British First World War aircraft in all the usual scales. It will also be appreciated by those who build the same type in two versions and want to show the difference between the early and the late form of the finish convincingly.
The paint is thinnable with water and non-toxic, but work in a ventilated space all the same, use respiratory protection when spraying with an airbrush and keep it out of the reach of children.
