A dark brown tone such as Lifecolor Brun Foncé carries forms the darkest field in multicolor schemes and is usable for shading at the same time.
Responsibility details are not available.
A Lifecolor acrylic dark brown with a French name that means literally dark brown. In the group of French-named shades of the same range it holds the role of the darkest element of a camouflage, that is, of the field that is added to a scheme last of all and decides its expression.
The darkest field carries the greatest weight
A dark brown usually takes up the smallest area in a camouflage, but it carries the greatest contrast, so it is what the eye looks at first. When it is applied too generously, the model thickens and looks heavy; when there is too little of it, the scheme dissolves. It therefore pays to lay out the fields in advance and to apply the paint gradually, with the option of widening the area still further.
To modelers of French vehicles who assemble a complete scheme, and at the same time to everyone who is building up a stock of dark earthy tones usable across periods and across kinds of subject. A dark brown is one of the colors a modeler reaches for far more often than expected at first, because it finds use outside the scheme it was intended for too.
An acrylic paint for modeling use. Work in a ventilated area and keep it out of the reach of children.
