Granite and basalt stones have a bluish cast mainly after rain, and the acrylic shade Blue Stone from Lifecolor is intended for this cool type of masonry and paving.

A bluish cast on stone is no exception in nature. Hard rocks of darker shades are pulled after rain into a cool tone that is closer to blue-gray than to brown, and the paving on quays and in the streets of old towns behaves the same way. Blue Stone from the Lifecolor acrylic range occupies precisely this cool position of the stone shades.
A wall of rough stone or cobblestone paving is never one color. The individual pieces come from different blocks and have weathered differently, so an area lives precisely by the neighboring stones differing from one another. Blue Stone is therefore seldom used on its own: it belongs to a set in which a cool and a warmer stone stand side by side, and only that combination gives paving its believability. Damp accentuates this difference further: a stone at the foot of a wall and in the places the sun does not reach keeps a cool tone far longer than the sunlit area above it.
Where the shade finds use
For diorama makers, builders of buildings and modelers of bases. A water-based acrylic paint, suitable for the brush and the airbrush alike; with paving, applying it stone by stone with a brush proves itself.
Keep out of the reach of children. Stir the contents before use and ensure ventilation when spraying.
