Coach Crimson is a modeling paint from a coherent Lifecolor range devoted entirely to the finishes of British railroad vehicles. The name of the shade is aimed at the crimson color of passenger cars. Crimson is a dark red with a shift toward blue, that is, something different from a signal or an orange red, and precisely for that reason it is hard to mix from an ordinary palette.
Passenger cars are far more sensitive to accuracy of tone than freight cars. They tend to be cleaner, less worn, and several of them run one behind another in a train, so every deviation between the individual cars shows at once. A shade from one range solves that problem: you paint all the cars from the same source and the train holds together. The range moreover offers a cream shade for passenger cars alongside it, so a two-color scheme can be put together from one family of colors without having to tune the tones laboriously against each other.
The shade will be appreciated by modelers of British railroads and builders of layouts who put together complete passenger trains. It also suits collectors who repaint production cars into a scheme of their own.
Keep out of the reach of children and ventilate while working. Close the package carefully after use and store it upright.
