A caricature model of the AC-130 gunship in the W and U forms belongs to the range of shortened so-called egg planes, which are not built in any converted scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A kit from the group of shortened egg planes. The fuselage is deliberately shortened and the nose enlarged, so the result has no classic scale: the proportions follow the stylization, not a conversion of the real subject. That is exactly why no scale is stated here for this item. The name names both forms of the machine, W and U.
The abbreviation AC designates an armed conversion of a four-engine turboprop transport aircraft. The armament fires sideways from the left side of the fuselage, the machine circles over a designated area and from there provides fire support, typically at night. The W and U forms differ from one another in the make-up of the sensors and the weapon stations; both flew with the US Air Force.
Stylized fuselages have thick walls and large continuous areas, so they forgive a less sure hand too. Apply the color in thin coats; a heavy deposit would swamp the fine engraving on the engine nacelles. Leave the propellers and the landing gear legs for the very end, so that they do not get in your way when handling the fuselage. A more saturated gray area is brought to life by a fine accentuating of the panel lines, but on such a short fuselage a really discreet intervention is enough.
The package contains an unassembled and unpainted model.
