The package holds four metal windows measuring 13 x 9 mm. The metal form is given directly by the name, so the parts are not polystyrene. Which particular metal it is and whether the parts have a surface finish is stated in the instructions from the manufacturer.
It is an accessory for wooden ship models. Small metal items of this kind are set into the sides of a hull and into the walls of superstructures and cabins, that is, where a window cut out of a wooden wall and painted would look flat. Because it is a separate accessory and not a part of a particular kit, check by the size before buying whether a window will fit the place you have in mind. The size of 13 x 9 mm is the outer size given in the name.
In a wooden wall, first draw the opening out from the actual part, drill the corners and widen the opening carefully with a file until the window seats without pressure. Try it dry, as wood cannot be put back afterward. A metal part is glued with super glue or two-part epoxy; epoxy allows a longer time to line it up and fills a gap better. Before painting, wash and degrease the metal and apply a base coat, otherwise the layer will rub off. Wipe off any excess glue at once, as it leaves marks on wood that show through even under a stain.
