Heath MINIPACK from the Czech manufacturer Model Scene is finished growth of flowering heather that gives a diorama or a layout a characteristically purple-toned area.
Responsibility details are not available.
A heath is an open area overgrown with low heather shrubs, typical of poor sandy and acid soils, the edges of pine forests, cut areas, embankments and unused land. In a model it is a rewarding element, because purple-pink flowering growth brings an otherwise green landscape markedly to life and a scene gains a splash of color at once. The product is finished growth — it is laid down and glued, with nothing to assemble and nothing to paint. MINIPACK is the smaller package from the manufacturer's range of finished growths. The manufacturer is the Czech brand Model Scene.
It works best in sunlit and dry places: on slopes, on railroad embankments, at forest edges and in cut areas. In deep shade under tree crowns, on the other hand, it would look illogical, because heather needs light. Flowering heather refers to the end of summer and the beginning of autumn, so it suits scenes dated to roughly August and September. Use it as islands, not as a continuous area across the whole base — in nature heather alternates with grass, moss, bare sand and stones.
This is a finished scenery accessory, not a model kit. The glue, the base and the paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
