Water Tint - Turquoise

Water Tint, a turquoise tinting color for model water

A concentrated color from the American maker Woodland Scenics in a bottle with a volume of 59 ml. It is not an opaque paint for models but a tinting medium: it is added drop by drop into the pouring and surface water media of the same maker and changes their shade while keeping transparency. The turquoise tone captures shallow lagoons, a tropical coast, crystal mountain tarns and flooded limestone quarries, where a light bottom shows through the water.

Use

• Add drop by drop into the mixed medium and stir as you go.
• Dose it gradually, as the shade can only be strengthened and no longer taken away.
• Turquoise stands out best over a light sandy or limestone bottom, so paint the bottom beforehand.
• Make a test on a sample with the same thickness of layer as you plan in the scene.
• By combining it with darker shades you will create a natural transition from a shallow to deep water.

Who it is for

For builders of dioramas and display scenes with a coast, a harbor or shallow water and for modelers who want to have the color of a surface under control instead of relying on a ready-colored medium.

The color is highly concentrated and stains strongly, so protect your mat and your clothing. Keep out of the reach of children and avoid contact with the eyes.
