Wine Red 17ml

AK interactive Wine Red - acrylic modeling paint, 17 ml

Wine Red is a wine red from the 3rd Generation Acrylics line by AK interactive. Compared with an ordinary red it is noticeably darker and pitched toward violet and brown - it is closer to the color of red wine than to a signal red. It is a modeling paint, not a kit: the package is a single dropper bottle of 17 ml. The binder is acrylic, the paint is water-thinnable and is thinned with the acrylic thinner of the same line or with water. It is applied with a brush straight from the bottle and with an airbrush after slight thinning.

Use

• Historical uniforms, collar patches, caps and fabric items, where a pure red would look too loud.
• Leather, upholstery and seats - cars, aircraft cockpits, the interiors of figure scenes.
• Decoration and dark color areas with a deeper, less aggressive tone.
• Mixing - a base for dark reds and rusty tones; blended with brown or orange it gives convincing corrosion.
• Watch the coverage: dark reds and wine pigments cover poorly. Over a gray or black base they darken almost to brown - the best result comes from a light or white base and gradual thin coats.

Wine Red or Deep Red?

Both paints are dark reds and it is easy to confuse them. Wine Red is the wine one - more subdued, with a shift toward violet and brown; it suits places where the red should look period and restrained. Deep Red is a cleaner and deeper dark red next to it, the choice for decoration, racing finishes and bold accents that are meant to be seen. If you want a deep, subdued red, Wine Red is the right choice.

Who the paint is for

For modelers of historical vehicles and figures, collectors and miniature painters who need a period-looking dark red and work with acrylics. The dropper bottle serves well for mixing your own shades and for precise thinning.

A modeling paint - it is not a toy. Ensure sufficient ventilation and protect your airways when spraying with an airbrush. Keep out of the reach of children.
