A printed display base under a model in 1:144 scale from the maker Coastal Kits, supplied as a set of several parts of the flight deck of the British aircraft carrier HMS Illustrious. Once the sections are put together, a long continuous deck comes about. This is not a kit or a model of a ship but a decorative base on which you stand finished models for displaying or photographing. The surface is printed for almost photographic quality on durable matte vinyl.
The flight decks of British aircraft carriers carry typical markings, a non-skid surface, guide lines and a landing area. The set makes it possible to put together an extensive deck for several models at once.
Lay the individual sections side by side on a flat surface so that the subject carries over from one to the next, and place the models around the deck. For photography choose a soft side light which limits reflections on the matte surface. The set can be used whole or in parts.
This is a printed display base supplied as a set of several parts. The models, figures and equipment are not included in the package.
