This model in the small 1:1000 scale renders the Czechoslovak heavy fortification infantry casemate K-S 14 U Cihelny. It is a faithful reduced rendering of a particular fortification work, popular among those interested in the history of prewar Czechoslovak fortifications. Thanks to the small scale it also serves as part of a larger fortification scene.
K-S 14 U Cihelny is an isolated infantry casemate of the heavy fortifications that Czechoslovakia built in the second half of the 1930s to protect its borders. The work is part of the fortification line in the Kraliky area and today is among the fortification monuments open to the public. Concrete casemates of this type formed the backbone of the defense and were meant to withstand artillery fire.
Work on a clean surface and assemble the parts according to the enclosed instructions. A concrete look is supported by gray shades complemented by fine washes into the recesses and a light dry brush on the edges. The surrounding terrain is completed with greenery and sand to set the work into the landscape.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
