Responsibility details are not available.
A collector's scale model of a particular infantry casemate of the Czechoslovak heavy fortifications, worked up from the original drawings by a Czech manufacturer focused on models of fortifications. The 1:1000 scale captures the typical mass of the casemate with its firing rooms and suits a display cabinet as well as a layout of a fortified line.
The N-S 84 Voda was an infantry casemate in the fortification sector in the Nachod area, one of the key sectors of the Czechoslovak heavy fortifications built in the second half of the 1930s. Infantry casemates formed the backbone of a continuous defensive line: thick-walled reinforced concrete works armed with machine guns and anti-tank guns, which covered one another with flanking fire. The work fitted into the group of casemates guarding the approaches to the border.
The mass of the concrete is brought out by gray shades with a fine wash into the joints and drybrushing on the edges. The model shows to advantage on a terrain base with grass and a hint of camouflage, recalling the real setting of the casemate in the landscape.
This is a scale model of a particular work; the condition on delivery and the surface finish can differ from piece to piece.
