Responsibility details are not available.
A printed paper base for displaying models in 1:144 scale. The printed area measures 7.3x7.3 cm and shows a temporary airfield surface of perforated steel planking completed by a grass edge. It is not a kit or a diorama but a finished setting: you simply stand the model on it. The perforated planking motif suits equipment of the Second World War and the postwar period in particular, when field surfaces were laid from these panels on practically any ground.
Back the base with card or a thin wooden board so that it does not curl; glue it with PVA in a thin even layer, or use double-sided tape. An overspray of matte varnish from a spray can suppresses the sheen of the paper and unifies the surface with the model. A light dusting of pigment into the joints between the panels and a dark wash along the grass edge add a sense of depth.
For collectors of the small scales who want to set their models in a setting without working with filler and plaster, and for anyone who photographs their models and is looking for a quick, convincing background.
This is an addition for displaying a model. The model, figures and paints are not included in the package.
