The set brings color, three-dimensionally raised cockpit details for models of the fighters of the Hawker Hurricane family in 1:48 scale. The elements are printed from resin onto backing decal paper and are transferred by the wet method like a decal, so they are neither photo-etch nor resin castings. The instrument panel, the side consoles and other elements have recessed dial faces, three-dimensional levers, knobs and color lettering.
The Hawker Hurricane was a British fighter that bore the main weight of the Battle of Britain and shot down more enemy aircraft than any other RAF type of the day. Its structure with a tube frame and a fabric-covered fuselage was tough and easy to repair; the family took in successive variants with different armament and engines.
Cut the element out of the sheet, leave it in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and slide it off the backing paper into place in the cockpit. It has no adhesive layer of its own; it holds on a gloss clear coat of the Future, Klear or Tamiya X-22 type, with which you coat the area beforehand; on intricate places a drop of cyanoacrylate helps. Do not use a decal softener, it will attack the printed resin.
This is an accessory for detailing, not a standalone model. Paints, glue and the base kit are not included in the package.
