Aber 1:16 an 88 mm KwK 43/3 L/71 barrel for the Tiger B is a turned metal barrel that faithfully imitates the long gun of the late production turret of the Tiger II heavy tank.
Responsibility details are not available.
This accessory in 1:16 scale from the maker Aber is not a model in itself but a turned metal barrel of the long 88 mm KwK 43/3 L/71 gun in its late form. It is intended for the Tiger B (Tiger II) heavy tank with the late production turret. It replaces a part of the base kit and gives the barrel a perfectly straight profile and an accurate muzzle brake.
The Tiger II was the heaviest German tank put into service in numbers in the Second World War. Its main armament was the long gun of 88 mm caliber (the KwK 43 L/71) with a high muzzle velocity and penetrating power. The late production turret replaced the early type with the narrow front.
Clean the metal barrel and seat it as the kit instructions direct; thanks to its length and weight it holds its shape better than plastic. Once a primer has been laid down the metal will show at its best with a dark wash and light wear on the muzzle brake.
This is a turned metal detail accessory, not a model in itself. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
