Aber 1:16 German helmets - liners and chinstraps is a photo-etched detail accessory that refines the steel helmets of figures and of accessories for models.
Responsibility details are not available.
A fine photo-etched detail accessory from Aber in the large 1:16 scale, aimed at the faithful fitting out of German steel helmets of the Second World War period. It is neither a model nor a figure but an accessory that replaces or supplements the coarse plastic detail of helmets: the inner liner pads and the chinstraps. In the large 1:16 scale these small elements are clearly visible, so photo-etched metal raises the realism markedly.
The set serves to detail the steel helmets of large figures and busts and as equipment for models of hardware in the matching scale. The photo-etched liners and straps have a thin and accurate profile that plastic cannot capture. It is simply a scale modeling component.
Take the parts carefully out of the fret with a sharp blade, form the liners into a rounded shape over a suitable surface and bend the straps over a rule. Glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Lay down a primer for metal before painting and render the leather and fabric elements in matching shades with fine washes.
This is a photo-etched detail accessory, not a figure or a model. The base model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
