A set of turned metal 20mm Oerlikon naval anti-aircraft guns (Mk III A) in 1:200 scale from the manufacturer RB model — a precise accessory for building ship models.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a detailed set of turned metal parts representing the 20mm Oerlikon naval anti-aircraft guns in the Mk III A version, in 1:200 scale from the manufacturer RB model. It is not a model of a ship or a kit of the whole, but a precise accessory meant to replace or supplement the coarser plastic guns on a warship model. The turned metal version offers sharper detail of the barrel and the mount than can be achieved with injection-molded plastic.
During the Second World War the 20mm Oerlikon gun was one of the most widespread light anti-aircraft weapons on the warships of the Allied and other navies. It was fitted at open deck positions and served for close defense against low-flying aircraft. The Mk III A designation refers to a particular version of the mount and of the installation.
Separate the parts carefully and deburr them. Glue the metal parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Before painting, degrease the surface and apply a primer suitable for metal so that the paint holds well. The fine barrels are delicate and easy to bend, so handle them with care.
This is an accessory, not a stand-alone model. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
