An unassembled injection-molded plastic kit of an airliner in 1:200 scale from the Japanese manufacturer Hasegawa. The boxing is tied to a particular operator, the Japanese airline ANA, and the designation in the name refers to two different periods of its appearance. That is the main point on which this release differs from earlier boxes of the same type.
The Boeing 737-700 belongs to the 737 Next Generation, that is to the modernized series with a new wing, digital avionics and CFM56 engines. It is the shortest widely used version of this generation and is used on shorter routes with lower demand, where larger versions would not be fully occupied. With Japanese carriers it proved itself on regional and island services. The corporate visual identity changed during service, so the same type in one fleet can look markedly different depending on the year.
Airliner models stand or fall on a smooth surface. Glue the fuselage with thin cement, sand the joints and polish them with a fine sponge, so that no step is left on the white area. Mask the windows and the cockpit beforehand. Apply the white with an airbrush in thin coats over a white or light gray primer, otherwise the surface beneath shows through. Coat with gloss varnish before the decals, settle the decals with a softener so that they draw down over the transitions of the fuselage, and finish with a uniform gloss overcoat. Finish the landing gear and the engine nacelles separately.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
