Decals 1:200 for the sailing ship Kruzenshtern, a four-masted barque, from the manufacturer Begemot. A separate decal sheet for a ship model; it is not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A decal sheet in 1:200 scale intended for a model of the training sailing ship Kruzenshtern. The product is an accessory: it contains a sheet of decals, not parts of the ship. You build the model from a kit of your own in the matching scale and complete its markings with this sheet. The manufacturer is the brand Begemot, which specializes in decal sheets.
The Kruzenshtern is a four-masted barque, that is a sailing ship with square sails on the forward masts and with a fore-and-aft rigged aftermost mast. The ship was built in 1926 in Germany under the name Padua and after the Second World War she was handed over to the Soviet Union, where she was named after the navigator Kruzenshtern. Today she serves as a training ship and is among the largest sailing ships still afloat. For a modeler she is interesting for the combination of a massive steel hull and a classic square rig.
The hull of a sailing ship has large smooth areas on which a decal stands out, but on which every unevenness also shows. Before applying, therefore, smooth the area and clear coat it with gloss. Slide the names on the bow and the stern on in one go, and on the curved parts help yourself with a decal softener and a soft brush. With thin lines and stripes it pays to try one piece on a hidden area first; you will find out how thick the carrier film is and how quickly a decal comes free. Before the final clear coating let everything dry overnight; choose a rather satin clear coat so that the surface of the hull looks like painted steel.
This is an accessory for modelers. The ship kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
