This injection-molded plastic kit from Trumpeter captures the German Junkers Ju-87R Stuka dive bomber in the impressive large 1:24 scale. The model is supplied as an unassembled and unpainted set of plastic parts with rich detail, finely engraved panel lines and a decal sheet. The large format allows a well-worked cockpit and engine.
The Junkers Ju-87 Stuka was a symbol of the German air war in the opening years of the conflict. The Ju-87R version was meant for longer range thanks to auxiliary fuel tanks and was used over the sea and on more distant fronts. Its characteristic siren and inverted gull wings made it an unmistakable machine.
In the large 1:24 scale the detail of the cockpit and the engine comes into its own, so give them time and paint them before closing the fuselage up. Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic and apply the paints with an airbrush over a primer. Lay an even base under the German schemes; a finishing varnish prepares the surface for the decals.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
