An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:24 scale from the Japanese manufacturer Hasegawa. It captures the turbocharged Mitsubishi Lancer EX 2000 Turbo in the specification for the 1981 Hunsrück Rally, a round of the European rally championship. The box holds plastic parts, rubber tires, plated elements and a decal sheet. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Lancer EX 2000 Turbo was one of the first turbocharged competition cars from Mitsubishi and pointed the way to the later famous rally era of the Lancer. The sharp edges of the body and the period sponsor markings make it an attractive reminder of the rallies of the early 1980s.
Spray the white body over a primer so that the period decals stand out, and seal the edges with a gloss clear coat. The inner faces of the headlights and the mirrors are plated, so mask them while painting. Finish the interior with the roll cage before you close the body up.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
