The sheet is a printed paper accessory for dioramas and vignettes in 1:24 scale. It is not a kit and not a waterslide decal. The poster motifs from the setting of the American Wild West are cut out of the sheet and glued onto walls, posts, fences or notice boards in a scene.
In 1:24 scale the viewer gets very close to a poster, so details are judged that would be lost in the small scales. Two things give it away the most: the edge of the cut and the sheen of the surface. So always cut with a new blade along a metal rule, ideally on a cutting mat, so that the fibers of the paper do not tear. Then darken the cut edge lightly with a pencil or pastel; that visually removes the light white strip which otherwise gives away that this is cut paper.
Printing usually has a slightly different sheen from the surrounding scene. A spray of matte clear coat in two light layers unifies the surface, protects the printing from rubbing and at the same time makes it possible to work with washes and pigments afterward without the risk of the paint soaking into the paper. Apply the clear coat from a greater distance and thinly, because a heavy wet layer will make the paper buckle.
Glue with a thin layer of PVA or matte glue applied to the undercoat, not to the paper. A peeled-off corner, a small tear and a light wash in the places where water runs down turn fresh printing into a posted-up poster that matches the age of the surrounding materials in a diorama.
It is a printed paper accessory. Glue, paints, clear coats and figures are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
