HGW – fabric seat belts for the SE.5a (1:24). Laser cut fabric seat belts with photo-etched buckles for a large scale model of the British First World War fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
An HGW detail accessory with seat belts for the cockpit of a model of the British fighter biplane Royal Aircraft Factory SE.5a in 1:24 scale. It is not an aircraft kit but a set of belts of fine woven cloth with printed stitching and brass photo-etched buckles. The soft material allows realistic shaping in an open cockpit.
The SE.5a was one of the most successful British fighter aircraft of the First World War, valued for its speed, its steadiness and its solid armament. In the open cockpit of the aircraft of that period the belts are a conspicuous detail, which a large scale reveals fully.
Separate the buckles and bend them, and the cloth can be toned lightly for a period worn look. Glue the metal parts with cyanoacrylate glue, and the cloth can also be fixed with PVA glue.
This is an aftermarket accessory. The aircraft model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
