This product is neither a kit nor a finished model but a photo-etched metal set meant for detailing finished models of cars. It replaces the flat plastic discs with faithful metal brake discs with slots, which give the wheels of a model the realistic look of a sporting brake system.
The discs 13 mm in diameter are made up of fine photo-etched layers and are intended for models of passenger and sports cars in 1:24 scale. The slotted surface imitates the vented high-performance brakes of modern cars.
The layers of the disc are glued one onto another with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue), and the parts are separated with a sharp knife over a firm surface. It is worth degreasing the metal before painting and spraying it with a primer for metal; the metallic sheen can be fine-tuned with metallics.
It is supplied as a standalone photo-etched accessory. Glue, paints and the target model are not included in the package.
