A printed sheet with a five-color lozenge pattern and a canvas texture for 1:32 scale. It is applied as a wet transfer.
Responsibility details are not available.
Lozenge is a printed covering cloth with a dense pattern of irregular polygons that the German air service introduced at the end of the First World War. It replaced the laborious spraying of camouflage: the covering was sewn straight from the patterned cloth and the aircraft got its camouflage without a single touch of an airbrush. That is exactly why lozenge is so striking on models of aircraft of that period and at the same time so demanding to paint by hand.
The sheet carries the five-color version of the pattern and the print is supplemented with a canvas texture, so the area does not look like a smooth printed film but like stretched cloth. The size of the polygons matches 1:32 scale. Under the transfer it pays to have a smooth and uniformly painted base, so that irregularities do not show through the pattern.
First clean and degrease the area. Cut off a piece slightly larger than you need, soak it in water, let it rest and slide it off the paper onto the damp area. Do large areas in sections and watch that the pattern runs on; adjust the edges with a soft brush, blot the excess water and let the joint dry without being touched. Choose the decal softener and any overcoat according to the manufacturer's instructions, as with the whole application procedure.
The model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
