This is NOT a model of the aircraft but a detail accessory. The set contains turned metal barrels for the 20 mm cannons with flash hiders and a pitot tube for the Douglas A-1 Skyraider in 1:32 scale. The metal parts replace the plastic armament and give the model realistic detail.
The Douglas A-1 Skyraider was an American carrier-based ground-attack and attack aircraft with a piston engine that served from the end of the Second World War through the Korean to the Vietnam war. It carried four wing-mounted 20 mm cannons and a heavy underwing load. It was prized for its large load capacity and long endurance over the battlefield.
Glue the metal barrels with their flash hiders and the pitot with cyanoacrylate into drilled holes. Deburr the parts and before gluing verify their position against the documentation. Metal holds its shape better than thin plastic barrels.
This is a metal detail accessory, not an aircraft kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
