The 1:32 A6M2 Zero masking set from the maker HGW is a set of self-adhesive masks for building a model of the early version of the Japanese carrier-based Mitsubishi A6M2 fighter in 1:32 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a modeling accessory, not a kit. The package contains self-adhesive masks cut for a model of the Mitsubishi A6M2 Zero in 1:32 scale. The masks are stuck onto the cockpit glazing and onto areas that are to stay clear or in another shade after spraying. Once it has been sprayed they are taken off and reveal a sharp edge with no paint having run under. The number of pieces, the material of the carrier and the target kit are stated by the manufacturer on the box of the set; please check them before buying.
The Mitsubishi A6M2, that is the Zero model 21, was an early production version of the Japanese carrier-based fighter from the beginning of the 1940s. It had longer wings with folding tips and details different from the later versions of the family, so the shape of the canopy and the placement of the frames differ from the later Zeros. It is precisely for this reason that the masks are not interchangeable between the individual versions and it is necessary to choose the set for the right variant.
For modelers building the Zero in a large scale who want to save hours of work with masking tape and to be sure of clean framing of the cockpit. It is usable by less experienced builders too, because it removes the riskiest part of the paintwork.
The set is an accessory to a model, not a kit in its own right. Paints, glue and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
