This is not a kit but an accessory for the cockpit of a model: colored three-dimensional elements printed on decal paper, which are applied as a wet decal and bring finished colors along with the relief. The manufacturer is Quinta Studio. This variant is listed for machines from the production of the Nakajima company; alongside it the manufacturer also has a separate variant matching machines from Mitsubishi production. So check before buying which of them you need for your model.
The A6M2b is a fighter of the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service, the version designated Model 21, with folding wing tips for operation from ships. Demand for the machine was greater than its original manufacturer could cover, and the Nakajima company therefore joined in the series production. Machines from the two plants differed in small points of cockpit equipment and in details of execution, and it is exactly this difference that the two variants of the set distinguish.
Finish the cockpit, fill it and spray it with the base interior color; the surface has to be smooth and degreased. Soak the element in lukewarm water, let the film release, move it into place with a soft brush, press it down with a cotton bud and blot the excess water. A decal softener and a setting solution do not belong here at all: their chemistry attacks the printed resin of the element. Once it has dried completely, even the surface out with a matte varnish, and bring the instrument glasses out instead with a thin layer of gloss varnish. Close the cockpit up only at the end.
The set is supplied as an accessory and on its own makes up no model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
