HGW 1:32 A6M5c Zero – decals

A set of decals in 1:32 scale from the Czech manufacturer HGW intended for the Japanese carrier-based fighter aircraft Mitsubishi A6M5c Zero. HGW uses wet transfer technology: once dry, the carrier film is taken off and only the print itself stays on the surface with no visible edge, thanks to which the lettering and symbols look printed directly onto the surface.

What the set is for

The decals complete a model with the fine markings and lettering spread over the airframe of the aircraft. They raise the credibility of the surface, because the real machines carried a number of small inscriptions and symbols. The set is intended for a model of the A6M5c Zero in 1:32 scale. HGW makes other kinds of separate products for this type as well, for instance rivets, masks and fabric seat belts; this item is a decal set.

Use

• Apply onto a smooth, preferably gloss-varnished surface
• Release the decal in water and move it into place, then press the water out from under the film
• Once dry, take off the carrier film; only the print itself stays
• A decal softener and a decal fixer work well here
