1:32 Albatros D.V / D.Va – Pine Tree wet transfers from the Czech manufacturer HGW: an imitation of pine wood shaped exactly for the covering of the Albatros D.V and D.Va fighter in 1:32 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
This sheet of wet transfers in 1:32 scale imitates pine wood (pine tree) and is shaped directly to the plywood fuselage of the Albatros D.V and D.Va fighter. Thanks to that shaping, the wood grain follows the direction of the fibers as it was on the real machine.
The Albatros D.V and D.Va were German fighters of the close of the First World War with a characteristic monocoque fuselage made of plywood. It is precisely the visible wood grain that is one of the recognition marks of these machines.
They are wet transfers: the sheets are applied like ordinary decals onto a smooth base that is already painted and preferably overcoated to a gloss. The transfers are translucent, so the shade of the base helps determine the final tone — a lighter ground gives a lighter result. Once dry the carrier film practically disappears and only the print itself stays on the surface. A decal softener is recommended, as is overcoating the finished area.
The decals are supplied as sheets of wet transfers; paints, varnish and the model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
