A package for the Bf 109 in the G-6 version in 1:32 scale: films for the glazing, three masks for the national insignia and a pair of metal barrels.
Responsibility details are not available.
Later machines of the G-6 version differ from the early examples in two things a modeler notices at once. The first is the lightened cockpit canopy with a minimum of frames, which came about so that the pilot could see out better; the second is the tall fin, on some of the aircraft made of wood to save aluminum. By injecting a water mixture into the intake manifold the power of the engine could be raised for short periods at low altitude. It was these machines that flew at night against bomber raids, when the pilots found their way by searchlights and the glow of fires and fought without radar.
Inside there are two masks for the glazing, one for the outside and one for the inside, three films for the national insignia with them and a pair of barrels from the lathe.
A metal barrel does not bend. It sounds like a trifle, but on a model in 1:32 it is a part over a centimeter long which sticks forward out of the engine cowling and something touches it every time the model is put down. Injected plastic remembers such treatment: it bends, after a few weeks in the warmth of a room it stays bent for good, and when you try to straighten it, it snaps at its thinnest point. Metal bends only under a force a modeler will never apply to the part, and any deflection can be carefully leveled back. It therefore pays to fit the barrels as the very last step of the build, even after all the decals are applied and after the final coat. Until then the part stays in the bag and nothing threatens it.
