Responsibility details are not available.
Big Ed is a collection from the Czech maker Eduard that brings several separately sold sets for one model together in a single box. This item is the second part for the Curtiss P-40M fighter in 1:32 scale and complements the first part. It is neither a kit nor a finished model, but a collection of parts for a model you buy separately.
The Curtiss P-40M was one of the late versions of the widely produced P-40 series with a liquid-cooled Allison V12 engine. It was derived from the P-40K, had a longer fuselage, and its recognition feature was the cooling louvers on the sides of the engine cowling. The machines served with American and Allied units and proved themselves above all at lower altitudes, in attacks on ground targets and on escort duties.
Photo-etched parts are separated from the fret with a sharp knife on a hard surface, not with cutters. A simple bending tool or two razor blades clamped side by side will handle the bends. Do not varnish over color printed parts, just glue them on carefully; it is worth degreasing the other surfaces before painting and giving them a primer suitable for metal. It is glued with cyanoacrylate or with epoxy. If the collection also holds masks, stick them onto a clean clear part and take them off shortly after spraying, while the paint is still fresh.
The collection is supplied without a kit. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
