A set of pre-cut masks for a model of the two-seat version of the EF 2000 in 1:32 scale. The masks cover the surfaces that are to stay free of paint, above all the canopy glazing. That does away with cutting shapes out of masking tape, and the boundary of the sprayed finish comes out crisp exactly where you want it. What the set covers and in what order the individual items are stuck on is given in the manufacturer's instructions; check against those too which kit the set is cut for, because the masks are cut to the shape of particular parts.
The EF 2000 is a European twin-engined combat aircraft with a delta wing and canards ahead of it. The version designated as the two-seater has the seats one behind the other and is used mainly for training. Its canopy glazing is longer, so masking takes more work than on a single-seat machine, and pre-cut items save the most time exactly here.
Stick the masks onto a clean, dry and degreased surface before painting. Press the edges down firmly, so that paint cannot run underneath, and give attention to the transitions over frames and curves. Apply the paint in thin coats; a heavy coat creates a ridge at the edge of the mask, which stays visible even after the mask is removed.
The kit and the paints are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
