F-100C PART I is a combined Eduard accessory set of the Big Ed line in 1:32 scale for a model of the F-100C Super Sabre.

Big Ed is a combined package in which the Czech maker Eduard joins several of its separately sold accessories for one model into a single whole. It is therefore not a kit of the aircraft but a collection of detail parts - with aircraft sets in this scale typically photo-etched sheets - meant for fitting out a particular plastic model. The set carries the designation of part one; a second part for the same aircraft also exists under its own number.
The North American F-100 Super Sabre was a single-engine combat aircraft and the first American production machine able to hold supersonic speed in level flight. The C version was a single-seater and, against the first production form, it received among other things the means for refueling in flight and extended pylons under the wing. Characteristic of the whole type are the obliquely cut oval air intake in the nose and the markedly swept lifting surfaces.
Photo-etched parts are bent in a bending tool or between two blades, never with tweezers over an edge, because a rounded transition comes out instead of a sharp one. Degrease the sheet with alcohol before gluing, or the paint will not take to it. For gluing to plastic use cyanoacrylate glue in gel form or a special glue for photo-etched parts, because ordinary cement for plastic has no effect on metal. Parts printed in color must not be sanded or painted over. Work strictly from the interior outward and offer the parts up dry, because a photo-etched interior often calls for material to be taken off the inner side of the plastic halves, and that can no longer be done once the fuselage is glued.
It is an accessory set, not a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
