The Tiger II is a light supersonic fighter that came about as a development of the earlier F-5 line and spread to dozens of air arms around the world. It is valued for simple maintenance, undemanding operation and good agility, thanks to which it serves to this day, among other things as an adversary in air combat training. For the modeler it is a rewarding machine with a varied palette of color schemes.

The templates are stuck onto the areas that are to stay free of paint and are taken off again after spraying; the edge of the finish is then sharper than anything that can be reached with tape applied by hand. Within the line the extent is distinguished by the word Advanced; Basic and Expert variants also exist for the same aircraft. Which specific parts the set covers is stated by the manufacturer on the packaging and in the enclosed instructions.
Clean and degrease the surface before sticking the masks on, otherwise they will not sit down. Lay the template in place, press the edges down carefully with a wooden stick or blunt tweezers and check that no gap is left anywhere. Apply the paint in several thin layers; a heavy layer runs under the edge and smears the line. Take the mask off shortly after the paint has dried, while the film is still flexible, pulling it at an angle from the edge toward you. Tweezers with pointed jaws and a sharp blade for lifting a corner will help.
The set is cut for a particular kit, so check before buying that it matches yours; the shapes of the parts differ between manufacturers. The package contains masking templates; the model, paints and glue are not supplied with them, unless stated otherwise.
