Responsibility details are not available.
An extensive brass photo-etched set from HGW in 1:32 scale for comprehensive detailing of a model of the British aircraft F.E.2b. It joins elements for the interior, the external surface, the fittings and the armament into one package, so it covers most of the visible parts of a model at once. It is an accessory to a plastic model, and the set does not hold the kit itself.
The F.E.2b was a British two-seat machine with a pusher propeller, the engine behind the crew and the observer in the front nacelle. In the First World War it served as a fighter, a reconnaissance and a night bombing aircraft and it became famous for its toughness. The open structure exposes a range of details to view, which this set brings out.
The photo-etched parts are separated from the fret with a sharp knife on a cutting mat, shaped with a bender or a ruler and glued with cyanoacrylate glue. With a more extensive set it is good to build in stages and to assemble the individual photo-etched groups in logical subassemblies. Before painting it is worth degreasing the metal and going over it with a base coat for better adhesion.
This is a detail accessory, not a complete model. The aircraft kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
