Gotha Bomber German Crew Member N.1 is a resin figure of a German crew member of the Gotha bomber of the First World War in 1:32 from Copper State Models. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
Responsibility details are not available.
A modeling figure cast from resin in 1:32 represents the first crew member of the German twin-engine Gotha bomber of the First World War. It is not a model of an aircraft but a separate accessory, which will give a large aircraft model or a diorama scale and action. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue and paints are not part of the package.
The Gothas were among the largest aircraft of their day and their crew flew in open spaces exposed to the cold and the airflow. The kit of the day was made up of a leather coverall or a long coat, a leather helmet, protective goggles and gloves. The large scale of 1:32 makes it possible to model this kit faithfully, including the buckles, the straps and the texture of the leather.
Wash the casting in lukewarm water with detergent, so that the surface is freed of release agent. Cut the casting blocks off and sand them down; when sanding resin, protect your airways. Join the parts with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Spray a thin primer, then build the skin and the leather parts up in layers with acrylic paints. For soft transitions and shadows, oil paints or a thin wash come in useful. Fix the finished figure with a matte coat, or leave a slight satin on the leather areas alone.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
