The photo-etched HGW 1:32 Hansa-Brandenburg W.12 - Exterior adds fine external metal details to a large-scale model of the German floatplane fighter. It is not a model, but a detail accessory.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a photo-etched detail accessory, not a model of the airplane. The set brings fine metal parts that bring out the external surface details of the airframe, the small fittings, grab handles and exterior panels, on a large-scale model of the German two-seat floatplane fighter biplane the Hansa-Brandenburg W.12 of the First World War in 1:32 scale.
The Hansa-Brandenburg W.12 was a German two-seat floatplane fighter and observation biplane of the First World War. Its crew consisted of a pilot and a rear gunner; the machines operated with the Imperial German Navy over the North Sea and the coast. A large model with two floats offers a number of surfaces suited to refining the external details.
The photo-etched parts are of thin sheet, brass or steel, on a common fret. Cut the individual parts off with a sharp knife on a hard surface and bend the folds exactly along the marked lines, best of all in a bending tool or on a straight blade. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate); on larger surfaces a two-part epoxy can be used for a longer time to position the part. Degrease the flat sheet before painting and apply a thin layer of primer, so that the fine relief stays sharp.
This is not a complete model of the airplane. The set does not contain glue, paints or a kit; it serves as a detail accessory to a base model.
